oh u misunderstand M, i dont believe i ever said what i do is right - its just - IF i was to be sentenced on something illegal (a lil more then burning out on someones lawn), i would never see a 'break' from the sentencing judge
and why is that? because i dont have a tv show?
i helped the elderly, i gave back to the community ... but do u think that would matter? do u think theyd treat YOU like martha stewart?!
I'm sorry, C-Dub- I don't usually disagree with you but I'm gonna hafta on this.
"Burning out" on someone's lawn is destruction of personal property or vandalism. Which is illegal. Doesn't matter "how" illegal- still illegal.
I don't argue with the fact that what she was wrong, but I read the facts the fact states that MORE than 700 BILLION stocks were sold that day- Granted, hers were a large portion of that 700 billion, but what about the rest of the people that sold that day? They busted her because of her name, and the fact that she, herself is a millionaire- to "set an example". The "domestic goddess" did a no-no and they grabbed her. Even if HALF of those stocks were hers, that leaves 350 BILLION others that were left unnamed. Is that fair? No. The fact that she only got 5 months in prison has little to do with her name and fortune. It boils down to the fact that they are trying to "teach a lesson" to those that may have insiders throwing tips. No one is perfect and in the situation MOST of us, WOULD, in fact, take those tips straight to the bank. There are WAY worse crimes that deserve way worse sentences. True, being famous and wealthy DOES help the situation, but in this case, I believe it was the fact that they knew she wasn't the only one and this type of thing happens alot more than the public realizes.
And Pete, she DID apologize to the public for her actions.
