My job's not nearly as professional as all of yours, obviously *frowns* but I'm a lifeguard at a hotel.

Sweet Lynne. I was a lifeguard for many years at both Valley High School in Louisville KY and a Holiday Inn. It is still the most fun job I ever had. I have actually saved 21 people in my 6 year stretch as lifeguard.

DON'T TELL ME THAT!

I stare at the pool/water slide in constant fear that someone's going to go under the water right before my eyes.

(Then I remember that the pool I work at only goes up to my chest, so to save someone I wouldn't even have to put my head under. But STILL, I'm freaked out!)

Holiday Inn, eh? I work at a Best Western -- I love it; couldn't ask for a better job.

It's great and all but ...

The guests are assholes and the majority I deal with are drunk (drunk+water slide ...? Lets be honest: it doesn't mix well). And ALL hotel guests are willing to blame you for anything in order to get free stuff/money.

Anyway this summer I did an IT internship for Society for Neuroscience. This summer break I'll probably do some work (if I can) interning for the Domestic Violence MC (county) unit.
