Holiday Spirits
OK, let's see....
We have milk, 1/2 & 1/2 (1/2 milk & 1/2 cream), and whipping cream or heavy cream....but double cream sounds even better!
As for the liquor, I've also had it with rum and cognac so it's really your preference. If I were you, Doggy, I'd experiment. Then, once you're totally inebriated, call me!

Heavy cream is whipping cream. If double cream is for whipping, it's the same thing.
I liked using the flavored brandies and a banana flavored liquer is excellent.
If you up the rum cut back on other alcohol coz it's not supposed to taste like liquor.
Also I use about 1/2 to 3/4 T-Bro's alcohol, just to give a nick kick to the nog.
Just keep in mind that if you increase the alcohol only you'll thin the nog.
It needs to have a thick, creamy consistency when finished.
And NO ICE

I've got some nice dark rum my bosses brought me back from some island off the African coast....that'll go great in this!
Glad you brought up the "thick" part!! I'd forgotten about that!! Runny nog woulda been nasty.....
But my fav is Nog with Henry McKenna, a fine, Kentucky whiskey.

nutmeg is a nut. you can find the whole nutmeg and grate it yourself or in the spice isle find it already ground in a container. same with cinnamon only its original form is a stick which you can grate yourself or buy already ground. If so, what is nutmeg? is it like a liquid flavouring or some sort of solid? I was at the supermarket today and couldn't find any.
heavy cream is equal to what i think you guys call "creme fresh"
Yes? What do YOU want?
T-Bro told him all about the nutmeg.
I supplied a link and an alternate if he can't find the nutmeg itself.
But nobody explained the cinnamon.
Sowee Doggy Darlin. Didn't realize you needed that info too.
btw: is "double cream" a thick cream you can whip and use as a topping on deserts and drinks?
I'm definitely making eggnog this weekend.
