that's probably why he went into politics v0id.

and i'm not sad for Reagan.. he's dead, he's got no more worries. the situation is sad, in that, (exactly as verti said) Nancy is alone, their kids lost their dad (which is sad no matter the reason or age of the person). i actually find all the pomp & circumstance fascinating in that i've never seen a state funeral before and i LOVE watching how regal & precise everything is. (like the loading of the casket onto the casson yesterday and how methodical & exact the marines were with every little hand movement while putting the straps over the casket to hold it onto the casson... )

I guess it's only funny if you know what really went down during those blissful Reagan years. Ollie North, Just Say Nancy to Drugs (while Contras were funding their war with cocaine which is ok as long as it is sold to black kids) and more people became homeless in the US than at any other time.

But, yeah, he had a great sense of humor.

we had an economy that was booming, there was the end to the cold war & communism, the iran hostages were freed (which, btw, Reagan did NOT take all the credit for)
