sorry, goo, i don't mean to laugh... but this just stuck me as sooo funny... bread & butter pickles is truly a SOUTHERN thang!! there's no bread OR butter involved... just the name of a certain kind of pickle. and i don't think i've ever seen 'em professionally canned, i think all the ones i've ever eaten were homemade.
oh, and T... send me a jar of those.... i haven't had good bread & butter pickles in AGES!! mama quit makin' 'em!
