Election Day....

Post by DoggyDelicious »

I just get this terrible feeling that Bush is going to do it. :(

I saw a program on TV earlier........... it was pretty funny, they recreated Apocolypse Now, with Kerry searching for Clinton to back his campaign............ the opening scene where hes tripping out in his hotel room was hilarious

Anyway, blah......... also on the show they talked about the system of Elections over there. Since it was a comedy program they didn't exactly explain it in detail.......... but what I got from them basically is that you don't actually vote for Bush or Kerry, but rather vote for somebody that says they will vote for them? :?
I'm really confused now................... is that the case?
Can somebody please explain to me how it works............ is it true that in areas like Wyoming with less denseley populated areas their vote is actually worth 3 votes in say California? :? :? :?

I'm so confused............... or was this just part of the comedy show I was watching?

A steamy letter?

I'll be waiting by the mailbox!!

Doggy ~ Google "Electoral College"

Yeah, it's a real stupid process, one that is probably on it's last legs.

I wish I could see that Apocolypse Now movie with Kerry. Picture him lying in the hotel room saying something like: While I sit here getting flabby, Charlie is out there getting stronger. This is the end my only firiend the end. of our imagined plans the end. I'll never look into yoiur eyes again.

smashes the mirror. Takes Tai Chi stance bring it on Bushy. Bring it on. For charlie a little rat meat and rice is R & R. Play Boy Bunnie bump and grind. Chopper noise gets louder. montage with ceiling fan. This has been a JP flashback.

Fumbles for meds....
Okay, I'm off to the polls. Thanks for telling me how to vote, Doggy, I was undecided up till that comment.

Here ya go Doggy.

http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/2004/ There is an "Election Guide" in the top right corner....click on "Poll Tracker Maps: Presidential Race".

The LA Times has a map that show how many electorial vote each state gets. And yes, even though some states may be larger in size, if the population is less, they do get less electorial votes.

States like NY, NJ, CA and TX have many more votes.

I am not sure how up-to-date the results are....since they really haven't changed since I looked at them  , but you can get some into on the "system".

*waiting*
Doggy how soon can I expect my letter?

I need to know so I can be in the right outfit and have the right setting.

The electoral college has been outdated for the last 75 years.
It's inexcusable especially with todays technology, that we can't ciunt each persons individual vote and declare a "winner" for our Presidential elections.

ShoTrip....you are absolutely correct on that one.

The Electorial College is a crock of shit and basically a perfect way to "fix" votes.
