I thought they were cool there. But Pataki and Guiliani are engaging in hero worship of George W. It's upsetting. They are using the 9/11 tragedy to make Bush seem heroic. And his dad is equating Kerry with Fonda. I can't stand it.

What is up with the intelligent New Yorkers? They are not buying this crap, are they?

Ya see, they bus in all these frenetic Repubs from all across the country for their convention.
Poor NY doesn't stand a chance against all those Republican endorphins, but things'll go back to normal as soon as the CON-vention-ers clear out.

You gotta hand it to Bush though........ holding it in New York was a master stroke.
Not only did he appear as though he was facing the enemy head on, reminding everyone of 9/11.... but he also managed to get most media coverage.
We were bombarded over here with shit on his convention...... Kerry in Boston or wherever he was got about 2 minutes on the late night news

Not really, there is a site called "Mothers against Bush" Which is a totaly logical site for mothers who lost their children during the war. But they forgot to look at one thing....Their children signed up to pay the ultimate price for freedom, unborn fetuses don't have that option.

Bush is turning a national tragedy into a campaign plan....i don't think that those lives that were lost should be contributing to getting bush re-elected.
