I read Four Past midnight years ago....... can't for the life of me remember The Secret Window though Image

Actually I only remember the Langoliers.......... think it was the longest ......... all I remember about that was some dude tearing strips of paper and people disappearing on the plane Image

Didn't see the movie of it though........ most of his books end up as really cheap, crappy made-for-cable shite.

Doggy, I believe the name of the story in the book was called, "Secret Window, Secret Garden". Don't know why they changed it for the movie title but they always have their reasons.

I am usually disappointed as well in the movies that are made from his stories.

Still doesn't jog any memories.. I can't really remember any of the other stories in there......... still thought it was a good book back then so I might check out the film.

The thing that annoys me with Stephen King, aside from the fact that he rambles too much.......... is that his stories start off really well, but then when the climax comes....... or when the real evil is revealed it just falls apart.
I never read "It" . but I saw the film and it was really good until the Evil was revealed........ a giant Spider  ....... boo hoo somebodey hold me!!!

And didn't the langoliers turn out to be giant bouncy balls or some shit?
Don't quote me on that one though Image

I like most of his books and have read quite a few of them.

A good one was The Talisman and the sequel to it, Black House.

Yeah, the Langoliers was probably the one that was most memorable to me as well....and they were kinda like these weird ball-type things that rolled and ate up whatever they ran over.....real bizarre stuff.

Oh yeah Verti.....it was a horrible made-for-TV version. Starred Tony Goldwyn (Of Ghost fame - the bad guy) playing Jack's role.

Was an abomination.

I thought I had dreamed that thing was on TV. It was truly horrible. Why must they remake movies that are already great. Like this new Manchurian. The original is super. Why oh why do this?
