that is true as well, but you see...most consumers that feel the need to call customer service do not have more than 1 or 2 brain cells and therefore do not understand simple things that the more intelligent people such as ourselves understand.

i've called customer services depts in the past and I have more than 1 or 2 brain cells in my head!

notice that i said most consumers, not all. there are people out there that experience real problems or have hard questions....but the majority of people have easy problems that could be solved themselves in 5 minutes with the help pages of the site rather than a 30-45 minute call to customer service. i was not directing that at anyone speciffic and i deffinately did not say your name when i said that, so don't get your panties in a bunch....do you need a midol or something?

however, what may seem simple to the customer service rep may not be that simple to the customer. besides, without the stupid people there'd be NO customer service

I agree, when I worked in customer service I got tired of repeating what was in the directions if you cared to read them My attitude showed through when one customer responded: "I didn't call you to find out how stupid I am!" I felt real bad for a couple of seconds.

Don't forget people that some of us can read directions until we're blue in the face (look @ my pic and imagine how long that'd be for me) and we still can't make heads or tails outta the instruction manual.

I know coz I've been there and done that more times that I can remember.

We received a new pc at work today.....

Nice flat screen, lah-dee-dah....

Anyway....instructions for assembly were in 50-million different languages...EXCEPT ENGLISH. For us, they had PICTURES!
