or what is your favorite beach?

I used to go to this one in Massachusettes near Plymouth, called White Horse Beach....it has a big rock in the ocean painted on it is a flag.

We named all the rocks: there was one called saddle rock, its shape was similar to a saddle; and house rock, which looked like whale; secret step had a step you couldn't see for all the sea weed and barnacles on it. Also, there were these horse shoe crabs we would sometimes throw around (mean kids). Sometimes we would collect sea glass. It was so pretty, and rocks so smoothe from the waves and the sand working on it.

Teenagers would get summer jobs raking moss or some sort of sea weed that was used to make medicine. My brother worked pulling lobster traps.

And the submarine sandwiches from Santoro's were the best ever, with bits of sand in it making them even better.

My family used to go there every summer. I was born there, at the end of one summer. My father died there in June--Father's Day always reminds me of it. Lots of memories. Lots of fun there. I miss it.
