Bartenders' Specials
I'm a big fan of "The Food Network" and two of my fav shows are The Barefoot Contessa and Paula's Home Cooking. The following is a punch recipe that Paula made the other night.
You'll need:
Premade Lemonade
Sliced fruits (Oranges, Limes, and Lemons)
Cherries
Ginger Ale
Concentrated frozen OJ (thawed, of course)
Frozen banana daiquiri mix (also thawed)
1/2 gal. Southern Comfort.
Fresh mint leaves
Take a round jell-o mold (shaped like a doughnut - with a hole in the middle) and put a layer of sliced fruit in the bottom. Then, barely cover with lemonade. Freeze!
When frozen, make another layer of fruit, sticking some of the mint between some of the slices, and cover with lemonade and freeze again.
In a punch bowl, add a large can of thawed OJ concentrate, the daiquiri mix, and 1 & 1/2 2 liters of gingerale. Add the Southern Comfort (the more, the better!) and stir well. Remove the frozen lemonade/fruit concoction from the mold and put in the bowl.
I WILL be trying this one!
